It's time for the Sixth Annual Warehouse Art Crawl. This year, 90+ artists representing 10 warehouses are opening their studios to the public. The mission of the Art Crawl is to educate, inform and interest the public in the "alternative" art spaces, both exhibition space and individual artist studios, in the warehouse district of downtown Houston. The cultural and social interaction provided by the open studios not only makes the artwork and artists more accessible, but also increases the arts presence in the eyes of the community. While the Art Crawl presents an opportunity for the participating artists to sell their work, this is just the "icing on the cake" so to speak, and, as such, is not the HEART of the Art Crawl. The more we, as artists, educate the public about art, the more receptive they will become in viewing and purchasing art.

This year we are making it even easier for you to see all the studios by providing three continuous, free shuttle busses between warehouses. Start at any building and park or shuttle to the rest. Each building will have drawings for original artwork by participating artists. Over 30 pieces of art will be given away.
